Pulmonary Specialists of Tyler, P.A. (PSOT) is proud to offer services to the communities of East Texas. We are dedicated to excellence in patient care as a matter of pride and responsibility. We have steadily grown to meet the needs of Tyler and East Texas. Currently, the group consists of 7 physicians with a broad diversity of skills and experience, including pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, allergy/immunology and sleep medicine. Typical patients treated by PSOT include those suffering from asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), obstructive sleep apnea, lung cancer, chronic cough, allergic disorders and pulmonary fibrosis.
In order to better serve our patients, PSOT constructed a new, expansive office building in 2003. This facility is furnished with state of the art exam and procedure rooms, new pulmonary function testing equipment, radiographic capabilities and an allergy/immunology division. Our large, friendly staff meet the daily needs of our patients.
PSOT physicians practice inpatient medicine at East Texas Medical Center and Trinity Mother Francis Hospital. These services include all aspects of critical care medicine and inpatient pulmonary practice. We also have an affiliated hospitalist program, known as Tyler Inpatient Management Service (TIMS). The growing TIMS practice consists currently of 3 physicians offering general internal medicine services to both hospitals.
PSOT offers extensive sleep medicine services. Currently, PSOT physicians direct the sleep centers at both hospitals in Tyler.
PSOT physicians are skilled in general pulmonary and critical care medicine procedures including bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, chest tube thoracostomy, central line insertion and endotracheal intubation. In addition, we offer interventional pulmonary procedures such as percutaneous tracheostomy, medical video-assisted thorascopic surgery, brachytherapy, photodynamic therapy, and endotracheal stent and laser therapy. |
